Premonitions
Ever get them?
Yesteday I walked out of the building and slipped on the ice; I thought my wife's definitely going to, and she did (I should've called but forgot)
Today I remember thinking I'm going to forget my wallet in my other coat; better transfer it before I leave. Later I forgot I remembered; until I remembered I forgot. Make any sense?
Are premonitions unchangeable?

Oh, yeah! I had one about my dad. My mom, sister, brother and I drove down to Mexicali to take my sister to the train station there one day, when I was 16. I was lying in the back of the station wagon, crying on the way home, because I knew my dad had a hurt leg, and that when we got home there would be a note on the door to call someone. Sure enough, he had cut his leg very deeply with a Skillsaw, and was in the hospital, and there was a note on the door when we got home at about midnight.

I think what happens is that you remember these connections but don't remember all the thoughts and speculations that go nowhere. Call it educated random hits -- that impress you and you therefore remember. HPH

How could you have known? Not just that he was hurt, but he leg and note...shades of the twilight zone.
