Do you still wave and honk?
Back in the 60s, we Jag owners in England used to always flash our lights when passing. Back then, I looked like Shirley Bassey and my ex looked like Sammy Davis Jr. We'd always gets lots of waves and stares. Now I just wave when I see S drivers, sometimes I forget and even do it in my Civic. No wonder they look at me kinda strange.
Yup, I still do wave, but you don't get as many return waves as when there were much fewer cars.
BTW Jerry what happened to you on the "early" meets?
Englishtown (twice in 2000), New Hope (2000), and Mid-Winter one?

Gee, I don't know.....guess that I was just young and out-to-lunch
I think this was before you, Charlie and I started up the Del Val Forum....and I was not really into this perversion called ski.com
I'm truly sorry that I missed MWG #1....a true classic
but I didn't even know that there was a New Hope meet in 2000 (?)
In the rural areas around Abilene 80% of the pickup drivers wave no matter what you are driving so I'm always ready to return a wave. Of course if I'm approaching another S then I get more enthusiastic about it.

Naturally, I started that in the 60's when I was riding a motorcycle or driving my TR-3. :
Most of the people driving MGs did it in the 70s. Almost everyone driving Jeep CJs/Wranglers did it.
I'd say about 1/2 of the people driving S2000s wave back.

For me, flashing has always been a Porsche thing
Back in the 70's when I owned a Fiat, I knew that flashing was required by Porsche drivers, but also was available to those who owned cars capable of flashing -- British and European cars mostly. Detroit iron of the era still used the old clicker on the floor.
Anyway, if I honk around her, the car next to me is likely to give me a one-fingered wave in return.

Actually, Charlie and I tried to take over ClubS2000 and turn it into a regional, but the guy who owned it wouldn't give it up. That's when the early talks on DelVal got underway.
