Default Do You Use the Ignore Function?

I have never used it on anyone.

I saw a reference to it the other day in the politics forum.

There was just one poster (not Vintage) that I ignored several years ago, so I had to say yes for the poll. I haven't used it since.

You need a "sometimes" in the poll.

There have been times when I found my personality was clashing with someone else's too often. When that happens it's best to take a step back, and use the ignore button. It beats allowing someone to annoy the crap out of you. That's what the ignore button is there for.

Of course, if you peek, it doesn't work as well.

I am able to ignore someone without using a button. My wife taught me how to use "selective hearing".

That's my story too. Years ago when I still read S2000 Talk there was someone who responded to almost every post with such insightful comments as "yes" and "ha". I think they are the only person I've every ignored.

There have been many threads that I would like to have had an ignore button for, but not people.

EDIT: I am glad it's there though. I frequent another forum where trolls and lunatics are much more common than here. I've often wished that their forum software supported an ignore feature. It's not that I argue with these people, I'm just tired of reading the same off topic rants they post every day.

Not to turn this into a political thread...but you use it or you don't.

No. But I suspect I've been ignored by some folks.

Might be interesting to know who's ignoring who......
What if your ignore list was part of your public profile.
