Do You Use the Ignore Function?

You can (and I do) turn off avatars and sigs. I never see that crap.
For the most part I enjoy the avatar and sig pictures as it gives me something to identify the person with. Patty has her rose, Dave has his wacky hypnotic craziness, some of us have track photos

When they border on p0rnography (for men) though, it's easier to just ignore the few people who are rude enough to do that.

No I don't use it, I love all my Vintage friends, but I know Jonas used it on me

I have never used the ignore buttom, although I remember reading somewhere that "ignored" posts still show up when the "ignoree" is quoted? Is that true?
[expecting comment from some: what is that blank spot between two of my friend's posts

Hey Hondagal
I have a question for you that maybe you can research.
Who is or was the MOST ignored person on S2ki?
I don't care if you name them but I think it would be interesting to see how many people ignored them.

I've ignored a large number of people in the other forums. When someone posts in a technical discussion things that clearly indicate they have no clue how an auto works, I don't want to see their drivel ever again. Vintage is different: I don't think I've ignored a single person here.
I just wish that threads started by those I've ignored wouldn't show up at all. Maybe they'll fix that defect in a future release.

I started to ignore some people in politics, but then decided to ignore the political forum as a whole. It's made S2K much more enjoyable for me again.
While it's safe to say that some of my posts are provocative, it's not my intent to have anything more than a spirited conversation. Otherwise we're all just talking about shades of grey.
