It was 38 degrees here last night! And our leaves are still green too.

I feel like I'm totally missing out on all this cold stuff.

You are. You live on the wrong side of the country. Come back east and enjoy winter with us.

Speaking for myself on the west slope of the Sierras near Lake Tahoe, I can enjoy the cold (30 degrees-20 on a really cold day) and nice snow for world class skiing. I can do it in 1 1/2 hours. When I have had my fill of snow, I leave it all behind for the high 30s and low 40s back home. No shoveling the driveway, no snarled traffic from sleet, no irate commuters from ice. I love it when I see the the national weather map and there is a giant conversion of fronts bringing ungodly weather to the east and I know I am not there. Our big thing is rain, or lack thereof.

Couple of shot of driving to our cabin at Serene Lakes near Truckee. Still can be warm and sunny enough for top down.
For fun I added this last picture I took last spring in Paris. This is a major intersection 0930 at night. Notice the lack of traffic and pedestrians. All that for just an inch of snow.

Beautiful photo ! Gorgeous scenery. Nothing like that here in NJ but generally little snow in winter (some years that is) !

I can remember when it would do the rare snow in the Paris area. It always seemed really out of place and odd.

Rob, I had 28.3 at 6 am today, sure is frosty here. If I had to take my truck somewhere I would have been scraping the windshield Supposed to warm to about 55 today.
