If any stones are purchased they will be of the cheap variety or lab grown.

 

Those look real nice but I can’t help as I stopped wear that type a few years ago back! They kept getting caught in my nipple rings.

 

 

The last piece of jewelry I bought was a lab diamond ring in April 2024 from James Allen. I'm done. I don't even look at jewelry when I go to Costco anymore.

 

Rick told me I could upgrade my wedding band if I wanted to. 40 years and all that. I can't justify the $. I'm sentimentally attached to my original ring, I'm not into fancy jewelry. I'd rather hold onto his offer to spend $ if I decide I want new camera gear. Or we can spend the money going somewhere together.

I have a few nice pair of earrings, a small diamond necklace and the good stuff is not worn as often as the sterling silver stuff.

Jerry, Barb doesn't strike me as a fancy jewelry kind of lady. Maybe she has something in particular in mind for the wedding?

 

They must be AMG versions at that cost.

It is true that my wife's ostentatious trigger is set fairly low.
As a consequence it needs to be elegant, not showy.
It's a tough tightrope to walk.
a few years back she caught me buying a new engagement ring for her.
I ordered the new ring at 10:55 just before I went into a doctors appointment.
In less than an hour I got a text asking what jewelry i had bought. " You better not have bought me a ring!"

Being honest I would love to design a piece, or a collection of earing and matching necklace.
But that would easily trip the arbitrary dollar limit.

I happened to look at the original diamond and emerald jackets.
While described as a pair. looking carefully at the image, it's actually a cut and paste of one earring jacket.
the same flaws are present in both images.
