Hardly ever think of it any more! Almost 6 months now. Bass, you should do it. The Chantix is a huge help.

good job.
your over the hardest part.
I found it funny at times after I quit.
maybe a year after I quit I was driving away from my house and the cigarette lighter popped out.
I must have pushed it in without realizing by habit.

have the script in the house already - just haven't started
Please do it.
Good luck Steve! Even after
18 years of NOT smoking I will STILL occasionally dream I am smoking a cigarette!
In the dream I will be like WTH, I'm smoking a cigarette but I know I quit
I've quit other things but quitting smoking was by far the hardest. Other than losing weight, which still seems to be impossible much of the time.
Congrats Dean and Martha

One of the things that convinced me (besides health) was car related
Big surprise I know. 1989 I bought my first new car... and within a few months had a burn in the head liner because I would occasionally flick ash out the sun roof.
I felt SO bad when that happened I vowed to never use the sun roof for that purpose again and not long after that quit.
I went and was hypnotized at a group quit session. Not sure that would work for everyone but I was REALLY motivated to quit.
First few days are the hardest - don't deny yourself anything else - food, booze, whatever but DO try to stay away from things you associate with smoking... for me the hardest part was after brushing my teeth when I would want to reach for a cigarette.
I went thru a lot of "sweet tart" candy after I quit...
