The end of the S?
Matt
I come up with only 8.8956 years left for your car. If you can get 253,496 miles
out of it in total, but you already have 40,000 miles that leaves 213,496 miles left. At a rate of 24,000 miles per year (2,000 miles per month) that equals 8.8956 years or 3,246.894 days. Not much time at all.
You'll need a new one in the middle of 2012.
Yes, I do love this stuff.

I think a lot of us love having something that not everyone has or at least I do. I'm treating my car as a collectible already and sort of hope they do stop making them (parts problem aside). As for the lackluster sales, not in this area, my dealership can't keep them on the floor and I think they have a waiting list.
Rob, I only have 8k on my garage queen after two and a half years. How long will it take for me to hit 200k like I'm trying for on my 92 Civic which has 180k after almost 13 years? Will I be too old to drive it by then? Oh wait....I'm too old to drive it already but I won't let that stop me.

Granny, Granny, Granny....you're such a kidder! Who's been telling you you're old?
Then there's 'ol Rhumy who plays with my back and shoulders and dialogues with me every time I have the top down in cool weather only he doesn't whisper, he kinda shouts and hollers something about Bengay.
But they're nothing compared to Alzhey who won't remind me where I'm going, won't let me remember what I was supposed to do with the switches to get heat in the right places so the other two guys will shut up, makes me forget to check the oil, tire pressure and put gas in the car. He's a dangerous little sucker.
There's also some guy named Degeneres who messing with my reflexes, my night vision AND peripheral vision and he ain't funny at all, the list goes on...... they're all saying the same thing, "Graaaaaaany, get an automatic Kia hardtop sedan and hire a driver!" Sigh

I suspect you'd have the same aches and pains regardless of what you were driving, and as far as the night vision and peripheral...mine have been gone for a long time (not sure I ever had good night vision). The best solution for the above complaints is to move somewhere that it's warm all of the time....and keep the S...it's better than any Fountain of Youth!
If they stop making the S it will cause me to have a
and I've pretty much decided that before my extended warranty has run out, I'll be driving a BMW Z4 -- I hear they have a pretty active club -- except I'll be motoring instead of riproaring. The other option in the back of my mind is one of those zippy new fast miatas, but I think I'd rather go with the z4.

I've heard that one too, from a Honda salesman most recently. He said it would be discontinued in 2007 but that the replacement was very hot. Anybody else pick up a copy of Concept Cars? I have seen it in Costco and they show a Dualnote. It's a Honda Concept car that has a two-tone paint job and is a four-seater but it's not your Accord car.

If you put on 8,000 miles in 2 1/2 years you are averaging 3,200 miles per year. Since you already have 8,000 miles on your S and your goal is 200,000 you have 192,000 miles left to go. It should take you 60 years or 21,915 days or 525,960 hours to do it.
