It is what it is so other than the tire set up there is much to discuss.
first the tires. it's a 23 production vehicle. 3 of the tires were replaced last year, the other was from the original production set.
I wanted the fourth swapped. rather than having 3 new tires and one with 18k.

I started to ask about pricing on the 7 yr extended warranty. What is in-service date from a warranty standpoint?

What is 7 yr extended warranty cost?
"For pricing on extended warranty after you guys decide to move forward our finance manager will go through everything that we offer"
Why is that a difficult question?
"In what way?"
how much is the extended warranty?
MBUSA manufacturers extended warranty.

I know the game. I've owned over 20 Mercedes and currently have 8 in the fleet.
simply answer the question.
or send over the business office lists of questions. with costs prefilled in.
I have no interest in jerking around on this.

" There is no game being played Jerome it's just our process how we do things here at Fields. Once you agree to you would like to move forward with this vehicle and it meets your needs after you will move forward to the next step which is the finance department where they will discuss each warranty and pricing. We like to make the process as smooth as possible with little back and forth. I also spoke with my manager regarding switching out that tire and that is something we cannot do. The tire meets our measurement requirements or else this vehicle would not have been certified. "

It is said Samson slew a thousand philistines with nothing more than the jawbone of an ass.
Which of course is a trivial number compared to how many sales get killed every day using the same weapon.
Jerry, these are the games they play now. Sales guy simply gets the sale price agreed, everything else goes to the finance guy to 'sell' you everything else. Tell him you don't need the finance guy as you're paying cash, it's the only way to get the prices out of them.

Oh I know the games and hammer them out of the gate.
Before I went back to school, I was a sales guy selling high end audio.
Greet, qualify, commit, close. but above all else control the transaction dialogue.

As a buyer you have to be committed to walking away if you aren't happy with the terms.
After all, you have the money.
this ain't '67 split window coupe with tripower and a 4 speed.

Not to be pedantic Jerry but split window was 63 and tri-power was 67.

Cash doesn't always stop the games! I handled my Highlander purchase entirely over email, but once I showed up with the check, the salesman suddenly couldn't take my money. He pawned me off on the finance manager, who was trying to upsell me with protective stuff.

He got annoyed that I showed up with a single check for the exact amount, and even had the nerve to mutter a comment about me being 'the only one who doesn't spill anything' in my car. I never did get my sales paperwork for the Highlander, though the title arrived a week later. The only reason I didn't walk out was because I told my ride to leave,

Whenever I buy a car and they put me in ‘the box’ I tell the finance guy or gal this is what I’m paying if you want to offer me anything for free I’ll take it otherwise there is no point. I’m always polite and courteous and if they have any comments I just let them roll off my back.

You have to remember I'm a CPA, Certified Professional A$$hole.
I've almost come to enjoy the sport, dangle the line, set the hook and let them fight to got off the line.

When we bought the BMW we had a price. Showed up with a check. We got a very light sales pitch for extended warranty and tire/wheel protection, from the woman processing the paperwork for the sale. No problem, we weren't buying.

Guess I misunderstood the point of your post then.

As a wise man once told me, don’t sweat the small stuff, it’s all small stuff.
