So, what do you guys think? I've been seeing the 360 Modena replacement in the car rags a lot. I'm not impressed. The front is very bulky looking to me. The huge scoops in the front (and seemingly diminished headlight cluster) don't look right to me. I kind of like the Enzo-esque tailights, but the rear haunches also seem chunky, particularly when seen from the front -- kind of like an Eclipse on steroids. The gaping diffuser chasm at the bottom, middle of the rear of the car is kind of cool, but I wouldn't call it attractive.
I've usually been a huge fan of Ferrari styling, but I think they've gone the wrong way on the F430. I realize the rags are heaping praise on this car, and I'm absolutely sure it's a monster on the road/track, but I don't ever expect to love the way this car looks, especially when you compare it to its predecessor, which is one of the nicest looking cars ever built (IMO).
Keith, keep that gorgeous 360... Maybe I'll buy it off you in a few years if my ship ever comes in!
Chaz, please step back from the computer. Slowly stand up and patiently walk out to your car. Gently drive your self over to the emergency department and check yourself in. I suspect you need a blood transfusion because yours has all turned cold.
Sorry to disappoint, but I have not been deceived by the media.
The F430 is yet another amazing product from Ferrari.
Yes it is true I am Tifosi' but you did indeed ask.
Hmmm, a style transplant at the hospital.
Well if you decide to ask, please take this pic and ask the Dr. to use it as his inspiration.
I like the Enzo because of it's F1 connection, Doug. The tapering nose is wicked. Too bad the F430 doesn't have that; instead it tried to keep the Modena look. IMO, they didn't quite do it right.
That said, if I check in for my style transplant, I'll bring pictures of the F430 and Gallardo with me.
