Saw the first robin today. Looked like he was having a tough go of it since the ground is still frozen.

I've seen five in the last few days . Even though it was colder than hell a couple fluttered about in my heated birdbath.

I have seen any around our house but I can hear them in the woods.

I'll get some more up eventually... Had a work trip to Florida last week. Took a few days vacation after to visit my Mom then friends. Went to a a wetlands area near Melbourne.

Best sighting of the day was a Painted Bunting... There was about 10 photographers all standing within 10 feet, with lenses ranging from 200 or so up to what looked a 600. The bird can't be more than 4 inches tall. Slightly out of focus here.. Hope I find a better shot to post.

Some more from the Grissom Wetlants near Melbourne plus a few from an airboat ride. Apparently, the Painted Bunting and the Black Neck Stilt aren't very common in the area.

FL has some beautiful birds, it is the other things that crawl around that make me glad I don't live there.

The activity in my yard/at the feeders is increasing. However, I grabbed this photo op elsewhere.
