It's been snowing all day, feeders are busy, but between the rain and snow the seed is wet, thistle sacks like mud...I put out fresh thistle, brought in my feeders, washed them out with hot water. I wanted to get the feeders back out there so I took them took the bedroom and used my blow dryer to get them dry sooner. I hope the birds appreciate my efforts!
Edit: My logical, practical husband mentioned he would have brought the hair dryer to the bird feeders. I would have had to unplug it.....that's a ton of work. And actually, with the position of the outlets in the kitchen, I didn't even think of it.

Not the birds but some of our local critters. I threw our pumpkins out there right before it snowed but they didn't have any problem finding them.

Nice. The tree adds to your photo.

I stood there too long watching them before I shot the photo or I would have had a little more light on the deer.

Hey, Scoots! Did you split the pumpkins open before you threw them out? Hard to tell from the pics. I threw out 6 whole ones about a week ago and they are still there, but I know the deer have been visiting. Just wondering.

Yes. I threw them up about 10 feet and let them hit the ground. I then separated the parts.

^ I tossed them down a 10 ft drop, but they didn't break apart. Time to get the machete out, I guess.
