Default A few days in Berkeley CA

Just landed in San Fran. Headed for Berkeley. Any recommendations for interesting ways to kill a couple of hours while I’m here?

Lots of interesting things to do in S.F. and Berkeley.

Have you ever been to either before?

How long will you be in both?

Will you also have time to visit S.F.?

(Dennis and I were both born and raised in S.F. Dennis graduated from U.C. Berkeley, as did both of my parents.)

I spent time in San Fran when I was in the Navy. 1965 and there were hippies and flower children every where.Great city and lots to do. Took the family there. We started out in San Diego where I was stationed in the Navy and drove up the coast where we stayed at the St. Francis hotel for a few days. The drive up the coast and Big Sure were spectacular.

We lived in Ann Arbor for 6 years, while Dennis did post-doctoral studies there.

Although my name is "buckeyesue," I am also a U of M fan. I worked at The Ohio State University for almost 31 years, but I was never really a Buckeye.

It is hard to become a Buckeye, after first being a Wolverine.

If you like old-school Mom-&-Pop stores... Telegraph Road is kinda neat to window shop. At least, the last time I was there, 2010. Bought a couple nice used Jazz records in one shop.
