Default A Few Prayers/Thoughts/Good Vibes Requested

Gang

Not big to these types of requests, but just learned of the passing of my son's last Grandparent (my first wife's Dad) Sunday night. They are having the funeral the Tuesday before Spring Fling.

Please keep my ex, my son and their familes (and me!) in your thoughts/prayers. I'll be present for the funeral. Waiting to hear if they want me to send flowers/do anything else (pallbearer, etc.).

It makes me recall when my Dad passed in 1999. The last of that generation. It felt like we now had to finish "growing up", as we now had no safety net of parents/grandparents left. My son was 8 when he passed on. This is the first passing in his life since.

He's 28 now.

Emotions getting to me today. Thanks for reading.

So sorry...grandparents are important. I never really knew mine well on either side, unfortunately. My mother's father died when she was 12. She was not close to her mother. My dad's parents lived in MT, so pretty far away from us. I'm sure you and your son have many fond memories to hold on to.

You have mine and Mary's most sincere condolences, Jamie. Also, thank you again for your thoughtfulness in attending my Mom's visitation and services last month We were honored by your presence.

Try to remember good things about your father-in-law , funny things especially. Things that make you smile. It's somewhat bittersweet but it will warm your heart.
