Been driving a 03 RSX-S since 03.... had 293k miles on it... and it was starting to cost us some $$$ in repairs.....

So.....

Last Friday went out and test drove a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T and a 3.8 version.....

Monday night.... Kathy and I went back to the dealership and bought the 3.8 coupe track version.....

Now I don't get my teeth rattled going to work..... can go 0-60 in 5 seconds (need that to pass people! ).....

Hope this car last like the Integras (2), RSX and S2000 have lasted!
Congrats on the new purchase! Purchased the 3.8 Track in February.
Were you able to get a 2013 or a 2012?

Seems like there are a few differences between them.

Is it your DD or a toy?

It was a 2012. Some body style change between the 12 and 13. Major differance is that the 3.8 went from 303 hp to 348 hp and now drinks premium. The price tag also went up by about $3K. Mine is a DD and have almost 8000 miles. Love the car but the 6 speed is sloppy. Wish they had the gear box that the S has.

Not a good day for the Genesis....

Cr*p.... less than 1,400 miles on the odometer and it died and left me stranded.

Going along, went to pass a car, and it just had no pep... then the oil light came on, and I heard some knocking under the hood.. so I put the clutch in and the engine died. Once I coasted off the road, it would not even turn over!

Had it towed to the dealer.

Will find out in the morning what they think.

Anyone want to make a guess what the problem is?

They forgot to do the dealer prep?

No matter what it turns out to be, I am sorry to learn this. Good luck.

Service opens at 7:30 this morning... I'll be on the phone then to talk to them about what happened.

Hope I hear from them today that its just the flux convertor... and that they have one in stock to replace it with!

Sounds like the engine is shot from a lack of oil. Did someone forget to tighten the oil plug? PS I wouldn't want that one back. I'd want a brand new one!

Lack of oil in one or more of the cylinders? That's bad at 1400 miles. Definitely ask for a new car! Be prepared to play hardball if necessary. I've found that a pointed letter from my lawyer usually does the trick if negotiation doesn't work. Good luck!
