Thixotropic. essentially fluids that are extremely viscous when in stable state but will become fluid when you apply work to them.

George Washington and I have a consanguineous relationship. That consanguininity also exists between Ulysses Grant, Teddy & Franklin Roosevelt and me.

Many, many years ago it was simple, especially if you lived in Detroit. Bird is the Word.

Funny as Peter Griffin is, this iconic video by The Trashmen is even funnier. If you don't find it that funny jump ahead to the 1:07 mark.

A phrase I thought had no actual real meaning until I found out it did. Dead as a doornail. Turns out, back when nails were hand made and not made to specific lengths, when they would build a plain door out of planks and cross planks (aka like a saloon door) the nails would poke through on the other side. To prevent cuts they would bend the sharp ends over. And that is the word in the phrase that had a meaning I did not know. A "dead" nail is one that has been hammered over on the other side of the board to get rid of the protruding sharp point!
