Well…I did talk about football in my couple of posts up above.

I will check the COVID-19 thread.

For the record, neither she nor I know much about football. Someone described to me what a "down" is some years ago - I think I remember the overall idea....
But she wants to get into the full OSU spirit, so a couple games it is...
I'll follow this thread for her sake.,

Jonas, will you be going to a few OSU games with Anika?

FWIIW: I have NOT watched an NFL game in YEARS, because of the kneeling and the stance that the NFL has chosen to take. I enjoyed the fact that the networks had to refund money to sponsors like Coke and Budweiser because the viewership was down so dramatically and they could NOT deliver the audience that the sponsors (wisely) signed up for.

I enjoy a good football game and will watch college games when I have the time.

I doubt it. She has her student ticket with a friend. Even if I did go, I would probably end up seated across the stadium from her.
As a freshman, she was only allowed to purchase a single ticket. When her window of purchasing opened up, the freshman full season ticket sold out in literally seconds. She only got the Big 10. At least they let her arrange to sit next to her friend who also has a single ticket.

My wife, my younger son, and I all graduated from Mississippi State. (MSU--Not just a cotton farming school anymore.) So we are fans. Saturday they played a decent Louisiana Tech team. They were up 14-0 before LA Tech responded with a 31 point run. Then on their last three possession of the game MSU went touchdown, touchdown, touchdown while LA Tech scored a field goal. For the math impaired, the final score was MSU 35, La Tech 34. It was the biggest comeback win in MSU football history. Game came down to a field goal attempt that fell short by LA Tech on the last play of the game. A real thriller that not many people watched on ESPN-U.

Yeah, Gene, you incorrectly posted about football in the Covid thread, and I incorrectly posted about Covid in the football thread.

Well…that is how we Vintage people are.
