Default Ford Never Forgets

Here's an interesting story about something that happened at the New York Auto Show in 1989 that Ford never forgot, apparently. From Japanese Nostalgia Cars:

Funny story. How did Honda engineering go from that greatness to today? Can you believe the lame excuse Honda presented at this person's arbitration hearing. "My arbitration case against Honda has been decided. Honda has been ordered to repair the oil dilution issue with my 2017 CRV. They have 30 days to comply. ............ Honda had to answer the arbitrator and their defense was that it's my fault because I drive short distances in cold weather and don't drive the national average of 1000 miles per month, so I must drive all short trips. They also said the CR-V hasn't suffered any diminished value and provided data from the Edmunds used car valuation site. Hilarious. All 3 arbitrators unanimously agreed that Honda must repair the CR-V."

Sounds like Honda North America is more interested in covering their butts than in producing quality products. Edmunds...hilarious indeed. At least they didn't go with KBB. Soichiro san must be rolling over in his grave.
This is what happens when the suits in marketing and accounting take control of a company away from the engineers. I have owned many Hondas over the years but doubt I will every buy another, unless it is something from the 20th Century.
