Future Classics. Do you agree?
Always hard to predict this. And we may be seeing the last generations that care about classic cars unfortunately. I fear that more and more people do not even start driving well into their 20's (This is so alien to me... I was getting my license and starting my first job literally the day after my 16th bday!). and it seems less and less care about cars anymore. Sad and I hope that does change. If you think about it, many of the classics of old and of even recent years actually were not the high end cars in their day. A 55-57 chevy was a cool car, but it was a car that lots of people could afford back then.
Or maybe we will see a swing the other way and more cars will be unique and fun again. I hope that is the case.

Well that is good to hear! I hope we keep more of the younger gen involved. We do still see a good number out at the track and autox although maybe smaller than in previous years. But of course motorsports is just part of it. I want to see the general car culture survive and we need younger people involved for sure!
I like seeing classics out on the road always makes my day. People are always telling me about classic cars that people in my area own but you never see them out and about. I saw a Pagoda out on the road today was very
I don't like driving behind the "classics" the fumes really get to me, I don't like the smell.
When it comes to classics I agree with author/racer Burt BS Levy -
The only two criteria for The Buddy Palumbo Award
1) You had to have done the bulk of the building and/or restoration work with your own two hands (or four or more if it was a family effort).
2) You had to USE the damn car. I mean really DRIVE and ENJOY it the way its original designers and builders intended. No "professional restorations," glass-case jobs or trailer queens allowed!

Classics are funny things.
A VW/Porsche 914, eh sort of a fun little car but mildly interesting.
Porsche 914-6 now where talking about a truly fun car and $$$.
of course by modern standards it's on the slow side.

They always make me think of Gretchen Corbett’s lawyer character in The Rockford Files she drove a red 914 in the beginning of the series until she moved up to a 450SL.
