This Game Of Ghosts
That's the name of a book by Joe Simpson, about friends he has known who died climbing. This happened to me Tues.
The thing is, even though it is climbing that took Lee away, I never would have met him if not for climbing. It's the underlying irony of life -- all death comes from life.

Yes, very sad. Mike, were you one of the members of the climbing party?
One of my other friends, upon hearing the news, asked, "Do you mean our Lee Adams?" The question was appropriate -- those of us in the club did think of him as "our" Lee Adams.

The passing of any good man diminishes us all.
I’m sure I am not the first to make this observation but your friend died doing something he loved, and only after he had reached the summit. May we all be so fortunate when our time comes.

Sorry to hear this Mike. It's always hard to lose a friend.
