Tom717 says that the barn is one of the most famous in Pennsylvania....due to the story of the brick decorative pattern. Apparently, the mason who was hired by the farmer was not being paid for his work, so....as he reached the top of the north side (shown on pic) he depicted the farmer on top of a donkey.....

The other interesting fact (which is how Tom learned the previous story from relatives): The recent owner (NOT the orginal donkey subject) died in the past year and our country lawyer, Tom, is representing the estate. The only WILL left by the farmer consisted of a diagram with words and arrows....pointing to different organizations or family member. Imagine the possible interpretations of this 'picture will'....leading to legal challenges to what was intended by the decedent
