Default GM cars kill

The GM ignition switch recall (and death count) continue to grow. This is huge! The article below lists the effected cars. If you or someone you love have one, please take action.

TV news alleges the federal government was slow to react, but let's not make this political.

13 fatalities among 1,300,000 vehicles that were on the road up to 10 years?

I want you as my defense attorney! Seriously, in a little over a dozen words you bring in a big picture prospective.

The lose of one life is one too many. GM will most certainly pay dearly for all 13. Give the new GM leadership a thumbs up since I am sure they ignored the advice of their own attorneys. At the forefront as this came out they made an apology which ensures they take responsibility and must pay for it.

Gotta reply. Pinto built from 1971-1980. 3,000,000 cars. 27 deaths from exploding gas tanks, 27 from faulty transmissions. Some people posit 500-900 people died from faulty design.

If previous post re GMAIL is correct this is .001 percent. I think lobbyists kill, NTSB kills, drunk drivers kill in quantum levels higher than that of designers trying to meet the bottom line. All accidental deaths are unfortunate. Who do you blame?

If GM had been this forthright 50 years ago, the Corvair would probably still be in production. It's about time they learned this lesson.

They have killed the wind in their sails (or is it sales).

Had told my step son this a few weeks (maybe a month or so) ago....

He got the recall letter about a week ago.

Local dealer said the parts won't be available until late April or May.

They told him to take all unnecessary items off his key chain!

If he refuses to drive the car for safety reasons it is my understanding that GM will provide a loaner - some dealers may deny this if they don't have one but it comes from a good source - The Detroit Free Press.
