After WW II the Buick was the car to have ....if you owned a Buick you were

somebody. Its all my Dad ever drove......Its kinda like us with the MGs and

Triumphs. This is the reason you see all the (really) old people driving Buicks.

my 2 cents

Bill

If GM keeps going the way they are, losing $1 on every car they sell, I don't think we will have to worry about the survival of the entire product line.

I thought that the '57 Buick was actually pretty It's funny how the '58 turned grossly over-chromed, but then the '59 (with the way-big fins) was again somewhat

I think the models (low to high) in the mid-50s were the Special, Century and the Roadmaster. Didn't the LeSabre come along in '59, along with the Invicta? There was also the Wildcat in the early 60's.

Maybe there is a Buick nomenclature expert who can verify

You know Rob, a plasma cutter and a file could do wonders for your S......

All you'd need is a hole saw, a Milwaukee drill, and a Dremel to smooth it out. Still, I think I like my S just the way it is, thank you.

I think the ventiports only look good on the Buicks.

One interesting note: in China, Buicks have the best of all brand images.
that's interesting. I wonder why?

This was discussed on 60 minutes a few weeks back. GM went into China before a lot of other companies and did a very good job marketing the car as a prestige, quality brand. The cars just sell themselves there. Old and young alike. It was kinda scarry.
