Question Going up?

Uh-oh: Gas prices on the rise
After eighty-six consecutive daily declines, the average price of gas nationwide has now increased for the past two days. Have gas prices bottomed?

I filled up the tank for the first time in awhile, since I don't drive the car much. My $20 got me almost a full tank! It was $2.09 a gallon for premium.

In Chicago metro you can still get 93 octane for under $2. It ain't gonna last though, we had something like a $0.08 jump in 1 day.

It's not going up here, reg. is as low as $1.25 and prem. can be had for $1.40. Friends have found regular for just over a dollar in their travels in state.

If we keep conserving it will stay down.

OPEC said they're slashing output, which will drive pricing up, conservation or not.

I'll be "supremely" interested to see if the huge outpouring of approval for offshore drilling from "regular" folks will translate to actual offshore drilling. There has been some talk that the new congress will re-institute the offshore drilling ban. If they do, expect oil prices to sympathetically pop up.
