Dave, PM Alex (Poindexter) about the Cayman. He just bought one in the past month or so. It's a beauty.
He's had it for a couple of months now; even took it to DBR. I was fortunate enough to drive it on some twisty section of road with the odometer reading around 600 miles. It's stock suspension seemed softer/more comfortable than my S(550 spring rate), but no less confidence-inspiring- just different. The tires that come on the car are practically "shaved." Excellent grip right from the start.

Creature comforts are nice. At that time, Alex had one of the few(or only) one with navigation on the eastern seaboard. Very nice. Having nav in the S has spoiled me and cannot imagine not having a system in any new car. Seats are very comfortable. Visibility is adequate. The sound is close to perfect. Quiet, but subtlely throaty.... kind of sneaky.

My choice is the dark metallic blue with the tan interior(only for summer temperature purposes). After selling the NSX, I considered selling the S also to pick one up. Tint the windows and a-pimpin' we will go!

Do it!

^^ I've seen the blue; it's really nice. I was driving along the freeway this morning and came up on a silver Cayman from the side. I hadn't noticed how much the rear fenders look like the Boxster's from behind. The contours of the top are very graceful. I don't think I could do with a tin top, though, so I'll just have to wait until the Boxster is updated to parallel the Cayman.

Jim, it already has with the '07 model; it's available with Cayman S engine.

The things you point out are the things that won me over - more comfortable ride with equal (although I would say better) handling, better seats, more adjustments - steering wheel, seats, etc., wonderful sound, and looks that I simply love. BTW, his ride is not 'stock' since he has the PASM option which automatically stiffens the dampers when you drive aggressively.

Thank you, Jim. Silly me. I like the ^ color but I think it looks like a bug.

I like it, except for the color. What kind of price tag does that thing carry?

$49K/$59K, regular/S. You'd want the S, being spoiled and all. HPH
