I do my best to keep him off the counter but I'm a failure.
If he chews through that cord he may find out about electricity!!

Yes! I switched the HDMI plug from the audio only output to the main output hole on the back of the DVD player. That wasn't hard. The only question is, how did it get in the wrong hole to begin with. I either have a ghost or I did it myself. Makes no sense that I would put it in the wrong hole if it had been working.

While I was down there in the basement, I checked the water in the spa which is right outside the glass slider and discovered that the filter was not screwed into the filter hole and it's been floating in the filter boxed-in area since it was installed, I guess. Maybe the water will actually get cleaned now when the circulation pump is cycling. I thought it was just a different filter than my gunite spa in CA.

Oh, and one more thing I discovered in the basement, which I never go in unless I'm watching TV which is rare: a dead mouse. Where the heck did that come from? I imagine the cats killed it but it was soft so not long dead, I'm guessing. I see no evidence of mouse poop anywhere.

It is that time of year for the little buggers to come in where it is warm.
