Got a computer question - Ask a geek
I'll try more you tube tomorrow.
Edit: Printer all set. One Roku TV still not connected.

Edit to the edit: I had a feeling that the modem may have been sold and previously returned. Well DUH on me. There was nothing in the box except the modem, but it connected easily with the Xfinity App and I had all necessary wiring here so I didn't really think much of it. While watching a you tube video I saw what should have been in the box. Nothing I needed but some instructions would have been nice. Those instructions indicated I didn't need to set up devices separately or change network name and password, would have been appreciated. My first rodeo setting up a modem.....
Since I don't know the history of this modem, I think I'll take a trip to Best Buy tomorrow, and ask them to possibly add the extended warranty for free. I could return the darn thing, (and may threaten to do so) but I worked too hard getting things set up! We'll see what they have to say. Maybe the Geek Squad can get my last TV to connect....

Final chapter, I hope.
Rick had the idea to add a Roku stick to the one Roku TV that could not find the modem. I have no idea why, but that worked. The TV is not that old, but maybe the program wasn't compatible with newer modem. I took a trip to Best Buy to tell the the story of the missing instructions, wiring. No offers of a free extended warranty or a discount on what may be a used modem. I could return and re-order, but I really don't want to have to go through set up again.
I told her I'd think about it, and if I do return it, I'd buy the replacement from Amazon and not give Best Buy the business.

I think the saga of the modem continues.
I brought the original one back to Best Buy. Got the same model from Amazon. Everything working fine. Then I had an issue with the printer and I can't resolve it. The printer keeps showing as being off line, though it is turned on, and wi-fi signal is strong.
I called Canon and the only thing the associate came up with was that the printer is not getting the signal and perhaps I need to set up a separate ISP for the printer. I do not know how to do that. If anyone has some helpful, easy to figure out instructions I'm game.
If I uninstall the printer and re-install it works, though there is a slight delay in printing.
I don't use the printer all that often, so I can't be sure if this issue has been happening since I installed Modem #2. I installed, tested, and forgot about it, until the next time I wanted to print something.

Anyhow, I went to a wired setup with my printer. USB-2.0 to USB-B printer port with an active inline signal amplifier. --- as I too was having connection issues, the distance from router to printer was too long. So far, seems to work fine.
What a saga!
You could go old school and run a cat-6 cable from the router to the printer, assuming both have RJ45 ethernet jacks. My desktop is connected to my router this way, although all the other devices in the house are on wifi.
From time to time my HP Deskjet 3512 will briefly go off line, or I assume that's what is happening when a pop-up message informs me that scanning is not available. Yet I can almost always print and scan so the outage must be very brief. Once in a great while printing will hang up where Windows shows the status of the spool file as 'printing' but nothing is happening on the printer. Cycling power on the printer always gets it going again.
Maybe this thread helps others who may run into the same issues down the road. It definitely confirmed my opinion of Best Buy customer service.

It always works. For prints and scans.
Windows 11 has a detection for printers and scanners, that wakes up an idle unit, when you need it.

I plan on wearing a mask in the store but if they aren't nice the mask is off! These germs my sister brought from SC are ready to be shared!
