Gotta love a motorhead!
Matt just came in and says guess what this is! (pause) Feel the weight of this thing! (it looks like a 8" bolt)
Well, he is holding the dip stick of our 31yo Wheel Horse lawn tractor and he is grinning like he just won the lottery! Every spring he changes the oil and sharpens the blades. (and he loves that tractor!) It was owned by the father of Matt's best friend. When he passed away and they sold the farm, we were able to buy it. It's been like the son Matt never had since then.
It has stories to it. (one winter a family of mice lived apparently under the seat ... when Matt started it up in the spring, they all ran down his legs!) Sometimes, some thing will break and Matt will either somehow fix it or order a part from Smoot's. (Smoot's is up by the farm and they know the tractor well.)
just a day in the life of .......... a motorhead
Gee, I thought you were going to tell us something about Motorhead:

I know very well where Matt's coming from. I had the same love affair with my MGA of 32 yrs. I wasn't able to save much of the body or frame after it was totaled but the engine, seats, rear end, wire wheels (3 at least), disc brakes, etc. all got transferred to my new one, so it still lives on.
