You folks have really lucked out on the up-north weather for this time of the year. Looking forward to seeing the photos!
Yes, Dave, you are so right about the weather. We really have been lucky that the weather has been just perfect--not too hot and not too cold.

I haven't really researched it, but I'm sure that the average temperatures this time of year are much colder than what we have been having.

We normally probably wouldn't go this far north at this time of year, but it is just the way it worked out in terms of when it was the best time for me to take vacation time from my job.

It has been a plus, too, in terms of cheaper rates and less crowds so it has been quite enjoyable.

goblues2k has been taking some pictures, but not as many as he usually does.

I'm sure that we'll post some pics when we get back, though.

We will be leaving the Mackinac area sometime today. Not sure where we are heading to next.

goblues2k is going to work next Monday, but I'm not going back until Tuesday.

We left Mackinaw City this morning and drove to the Traverse City area. On our way there, we had lunch at the Cherry Republic in nearby Glen Arbor. While there, we saw at least 10 green Miatas. Turns out, it was a group outing for Miata Special Editions (all of them were British Racing Green color). We chatted with some in the group. They too are spending the night in Traverse City. There is also a Schooner (sailing ship) Festival in Traverse City tomorrow and Saturday.

Wouldn't it be something to have an S2Ki event only for one specific color S2000?

We really enjoy the TC area and that whole side of the state.
