Better late than never!

We had 140 trick or treaters. How about you?

I liked this display a friend of mine put in his yard.

I'm guessing I had about 75 kids this year. A bit above average. It was a nice night, for sure. I saw some cute kids. I'm not up on "kid stuff" these days, so I didn't recognize some of the characters they were portraying. I had several big kids show up too, they were in costume anyway. Once the big kids start coming out and the little kids are done, it's lights out. That was around 8:15.

None this year, then again living in the stick, the steady rain and temps in the 30's probably had something to do with it. Like Robb probably haven't had any in over 20 years.

When I had my mg I had a few instances where I felt like by the time I figured out what was wrong with it I was going to look like the guy in your friends display!

We had nine kids and that is it. All of them within the first half hour.

We weren't able to be home for trick or treaters so we left a note and 3 full size Snickers bars out for the 3 neighbor girls. Received a nice thank you note back. Been here 25 years and the peak turnout was a minivan with 5 kids that showed up in 1995. Many years of nothing until the girls moved in. Living on a country road and set back 500' discourages just about everyone but the Jehovah's Witnesses from coming to the door.

yep, a quarter mile driveway down the hill through the dark words discourages all but the most determined.
So I bought 40 odd full size candy bars. It's a dirty job but somebody is going to have to eat them.
