His answer to my question what he was wearing underneath was "Chanel No. 5"

HAHA...Vito asked me if I liked kilts. I think that was a hint that a trip was brewing.

Hmmmmmmmm, how come that was Granny's FIRST comment when she heard about a trip to Scotland? Something you want to tell us Granny?
Perk, this should be a real adventure. Do you like castles?

^ Yeah, and Vito is a real history nut, so we will be going to anyplace of significance, I'm sure.
My dad attended the Tattoo (which is the British version of the Marine Corps Sunset Parade) at a castle in Edinburgh many years ago. I'm going to check it out and see if they still do that kind of thing. Vito and I are headed next week to a Royal Navy/Marines cocktail party at the Marine Barracks. May meet some peeps who will be working with him that week. Should be interesting, not to mention all those handsome men in uniform!!

I did meet lots of handsome men in uniform at the cocktail party, including a Marine Major General who owns an S2000! He was driving it that night and I talked to him about s2ki and Vintage. The hotel where we will be staying in Scotland got rave reviews from some of the attendees. It's called Knockderry House, and is a lovely Victorian country house with a view of the Argyll hills, Loch Long and the famous Firth of Clyde. Plus it's next door to a castle! Here's the link...www.knockderryhouse.co.uk.

Well, I remember some of them...not sure how far Loch Long is from Loch Lomond. Or all the other lochs, for that matter.
Yep, I'm getting excited, but two other big events before that - Vito's niece's wedding in NJ, where I meet the "clan" (met his son last night - it went well), and of course, the OH Buckeye Run. Woohoo!
The lyrics:
1. By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes,
Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond.
Where me and my true love were ever wont to gae
On the bonnie, bonnie banks O' Loch Lomond.
Refrain:
O ye'll tak' the high road and I'll tak' the low road,
An' I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks O' Loch Lomond.
2. 'Twas there that we parted in yon shady glen,
On the steep, steep side O' Ben Lomon',
Where in purple hue the Hieland hills we view,
An' the moon comin' out in the gloamin'
Refrain:
3. The wee birdies sing and the wild flow'rs spring,
And in sunshine the waters are sleepin';
But the broken heart it kens nae second spring,
Tho' the waefu' may cease frae their greetin'.
Refrain:
