Here's a pic of it. It looks black in the pic but it's a dark dark green

I could put that in my garage beside my John Deere green or my F-150 green. But things are just a little pricy down in Naples.

I wonder how much it cost Pontiac to have Car & Driver say that.

I doubt that. But for the $3500 I paid for mine it was a great performer especially with the tri power package which snorted out 360 hp. Ferrari was a vehicle I associated with rich people, The goat was a vehicle I associated with blue collar workers like me.

Another good performer from Pontiac was the 6000 STE (SpecialTouring Edition) It was fast, had a cool performance exhaust and a great suspension. It made the 10 best performance list every year it was in production. I bought a 1986 maroon and surprised my wife with it for her birthday. She loved it and so did I.

I remember they had a Pontia 6000 on the cover of R&T and it was a shot of the front end with the car being totally airborne. On a side note I believe that was the month that Peter Egan started writing for R&T.

Indy 500 Trivia Quiz - 15 QUESTIONS

How about a 16th question Dave (this one is out of my head, no source reference)

Question: Name the Indy 500 winner who broke tradition and drank orange juice in the winners circle ? - Emmerson Fittipaldi - he owned an orange juice producing business in Brazil and he wanted to promote that over milk - not cool but it happened. He reluctantly drank some milk after first drinking the OJ.

I had what they called 'the poor mans G.T.O.' a Pontiac T-37. It originally came with a 350 but someone had put a 455 in it with a Holley 850 double pumper and headers. It was a serious torque monster.
