Default Hey come join us!

Lainey, Rick, Bill, Rob other retirees and fellow enthusiasts. With the slowing down of events on the forum - I heartily recommend that you consider joining us at the Gran Prix festival next year. A chance to get some enjoyment out of your cars and have an amazing time. Many of you are familiar with Watkins Glen area and its beauty. This will be my seventh time there and it never gets old! Pick your drive - the sporting roadster tour is for open top cars only and is limited to 130 cars each year. SVRA has vintage racing at Watkins Glen International all weekend. The excitement in this car loving community is pure electricity . Four of us go down from my area. We head down on Thursday afternoon- the drives are on Friday morning into afternoon. Saturday we head to the track for vintage racing, Concours events at the track and a great time for a car enthusiast. It is a very unusual weekend at the glen as the entire property is open to the fans. Pits, garages etc. Check out the events at the Watkins Glen Gran Prix festival site. I have absolutely no problem recommending it to my friends and acquaintances from Vintage.

Will think about it, Dave! My sister was just in that area and enjoyed herself. Not so much cars, but wineries, scenery, etc. Something for everyone! Hope all is well with you and Dawn.

We are doing reasonably well- wending our way through treatment. Slowly improving by baby steps.

Being overly familiar with the old course and having been (at one time) a boy racer there, this could be interesting. It would depend on timing.
