Thank you, I lost the bet. Eagles were my favorite group of all time.

That's my favorite RS album too, and Maggie is, I think, his very best song. I do like this duet from his concert at the Albert Hall

and I love this concert version of Maggie May. I especially like J'Anna Jacoby on the mandolin.

Remember this song from the movie of the same name? Debbie Boone had a big hit with the song, her version was a number 1 hit for a number of weeks, but it isn't her voice doing the song in the movie. It wasn't Didi Cohn (the women in the video and movie) either. It was a singer by the name of Kasey Cisyk. Her version of the song I think is the best version. You might not ever have heard of Kasey Cisyk but you've heard her voice before. Named Kvita Cisyk she took the name from her initials K.C. which eventually became Kasey. She wanted to be an opera singer but the need to help her family financially forced her into popular music. If you ever heard the jingle "Have you driven a Ford lately" from 1981 to 1998 it was her singing it. And if "You deserved a break today" from McDonald's, it was her too.

Here is her version from the movie.

There is even some controversy as to whether or not Debbie Boone actually did the version attributed to her. Most people think that Boone actually did sing it, but the sound is so similar that there is a little doubt.

Here is the version by Debby Boone. Listen to both and let me know if you can tell the difference.
