Notes on how the sound was produced. I always thought this.
"The producer,who I will not name at this time,thought her vocals sounded a bit thin so he re-recorded it onto a second machine and the slight speed differential is what you hear. The producer held his hand on the flange of the reel to try to keep the speed constant.The rest is history.By the way the effect was so captivating the studio released it without any further changes.Done at Gold Star Studios by Dave Gold and Stan Ross in Hollywood about late 59'."
