I saw them in concert back about 1970. So long ago and far away. Well, not so far. At the Shady Grove theater in the round in MD that no longer exists, with my first really serious boyfriend.
"Shady Grove Music Fair was the venue of choice in the Washington area for movie stars, bands, plays and musicals during the 1960s and 1970s. It was an arena theatre, where the audience surrounded the stage. At one point the stage actually rotated. Acts such as James Brown, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Steely Dan and the Jackson 5 played at Shady Grove."
