Default Hey Val!

Hey Val!

Look who showed up. Almost a year since he first appeared on the horizon, he's back to tend our garden again. Watching over the newly planted pansies, waiting for the tulips to bloom!

It's spring!

Me too! I love stuff like that in our flower garden.

We have had such a nice stretch of weather and it's supposed to continue into this week.

We rarely have a nice spring here, and I'm lovin' this weather.

I'm doing fine, Patty. Still holding at just a few sniffles.

You and Rick would have absolutely been in Hog Heaven today if you'd been with us. We had lunch at the Pavilion Restaurant in Brookgreen Gardens. OMG!!! It is a slice of heaven on earth!!! The flowers that are blooming smell so fantastic and there are so many that the smell just wafts on the wind to tantalize you while you're walking along. We go down there several times a week because it changes every day and is the most beautiful place I've ever seen on this planet. I've been to some pretty places, but wow, this is unbelievable!!!! One of the first things I did this year was buy an annual membership so we can go every day!!! We went several times last year and attended the Nights of a Thousand Candles which was UNBELIEVABLE.

check it out: Brookgreen

I need to run over to that fantasy thread and say my fantasy would be to live in a hut in Brookgreen Gardens.

If I ever moved down to this area, I'd volunteer to pull weeds or wash statuary or something just to be able to smell the flowers and see those beautiful oaks with all that spanish moss hanging down.

Oh...looks great! My sis is seriously considering picking up stakes and moving to your area in SC. I see a road trip in our future.

The Brookgreen Gardens would be on the "to do" list!

Thanks for sharing!

That's it! I'm on my way! You're just having a little too much fun without me! Absolutely beautiful. You make it sound like heaven and I could use a little piece of heaven right about now. How about the weekend of August 9. Will the porch be finished by then because that's where I'm camping out until we get to our hut in the garden.

Gorgeous gardens...reminds me a bit of the parks/squares in Savannah.
