Wrenching on my cars has been a main hobby of mine for many years. I finally got some car ramps this weekend, I should have done these years ago, they are so easy to us to get the car in the air (8 inches of lift).
I avoided them in the past as the old metal ones didn't appeal to me, and I don't like the heavily sloped type of ramps. I found some nice low profile ramps with a gentler slope and longer extensions. The front resting portion can be separated from the rear extensions once the car is in its resting position, 16k lb capacity. Much easier than trying to use the two-jack method and jackstands, easier on the back and knees, with a lightweight composite material construction.
My fantasy is a tall garage and two post lift.
I'm 5 inches short for the smallest two poster.
I hear ya, I would love a lift, but I don't have the clearance either. I'm willing to bet my concrete floor isn't thick enough either, but that could be altered if needed.

I have the height but the floor pour was too shallow to accommodate a two post lift plus I would have to change out the door and opener. I ended up with a hydraulic lift that gets the car about four feet off the ground.
$15k for 1:8 model. This limited edition 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SLR #722 that won the Mille Miglia with fastest time ever and driven by Moss with navigator Jenkinson checks all the boxes for me!! It is a Pauls Model Art metal model in 1:24 scale. It listed at $200 and I was able to purchase it for $100 without the box from a model shop. Since I only buy models to display I could care less about having the box or its resale value.
