Endurance. Is that what it took to do it? Very cool Scoots.

Gary, Nice round.
about 20 years ago I wound up with a year off from work.
So I skied and golfed... a lot. Every Saturday we'd play nine at the local 9 hole course, par 35.
I shot 2 over.
My wife happened to roll up about the time we were done with coffee and so I played another 9 with here.
I shot 3 over with her.. So my total for 18 was a 5 over 75.
I started full time work again a week later. That was as good as I've ever done.

Maybe I'll get back there someday. It felt good last Thursday even though the results weren't there.
As Tiger says, "It's not that far off."

It took about a week working every night! Once I get started I have trouble stopping! One night I couldn't sleep so I was up working on it from 2:00a to 3:30a. The next morning I had to check my work to make sure I didn't screw up.

Hobbies are good, that's why we do them ... to get lost in them. I have spent a good share of the past couple days sorting out issues that bothered me on my trip to northern MI. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about them. lol

Was supposed to play a super exclusive course today. With the weather in the low 60s, rain in the AM and clouds all day, we chose to postpone it. But, where I work is open for staff on mondays, So I went out with a friend at 2. He’s a 1.5 handicap, I’m a 13.1. He shot a 75, I shot a … drumroll….. 78!!! Lowest stroke count for me. Tied with score to par. It’s a par 70, and I’ve shot 80 a few times on par 72s. My only other round in the 70s was a 79 on a par 70.

Let’s see if I can keep it up or if I’ll regress back into the mid 80s. I’m playing two private courses next week.

Congratulations Gary. My lowest score ever was a 77 in our company tournament whichI won. Next was another 77 and a 79 playing with my regular weekend group, par 72’s.. I played a lot and was a member of a country club, I am 81 now and play a lot less. If I break 90 I am a happy man. I have some hip pain that comes and goes but at least I can still play.

Scoots- Nice. I have the pirate ship from an off brand to start working on. I suspect next month I'll get it moving.

Thanks all on the golf. I'm a 13 handicap, have been in that range for a while and this is only the 2nd time in the 70s. It's incredible how well you have to play as well as how much of your head you have to stay out of to just keep doing it. One bad shot can lead to a double or worse, two of them in a round, uh oh... I shot an 83 last week with a triple and a quad on the card. WTF. Front, 4 par, 4 bogey, 1 triple, Back, 1 Birdie, 6 Par, 1 Bogey, 1 Quad.

The good news is that I'm playing solid and relatively consistent. I'd rather have 9 pars, some bogeys and a blowup or two than scramble every hole just to bogey them.

I have the gantry and launch pad for the Saturn V rocket coming. It too is an off brand. I hope it is as good as a Lego brand.

Lately I'd be delighted to simply play bogey golf.
