This is really good news for the area I grew up in. Hope the HJ is successful.

My only question: Where is the auto mojo that Honda used to have???

Unfortunately, it appears that it may have died with Mr. Honda.

I was at the Honda dealer yesterday and talked to two salesmen who have been selling Honda's for year's and they asked the same thing. The CRZ is a total disaster, the new Civic is a mildly tweaked 2011 Civic, the Accord need's a refresh. One of the salesman said, if they took the batteries out of the CRZ and added 20 HP, the car would be flying off the lot.

On the HondaJet, it definately will be a player with corporate America. Fast, comfortable, and fuel efficient. With the unique engine positioning, it will be easy to find in the "parking lot."

Gene, it is not all good news (from AutoExtremist, Oct 11)

HONDA GROUNDED
We keep saying that Honda has lost its mojo, and now the company is suffering from yet another embarrassment. It’s delaying the launch of its small-business airplane called the HondaJet, due to problems with the engine. The company originally planned to start deliveries next year in the third quarter but now it won’t be ready until mid-2013. The plane will be built in Greensboro, North Carolina.

^Unfortunately, Honda joined up with the wrong engine builder, GE. They should of teamed up with Pratt & Whitney.
