I carry the cellphone at work so my wife can reach me. Once I get home, it sits on the dresser and I forget about it.
The only time I take it with me is when I want to be able to call someone about important stuff.
I usually need it at the grocery store, because I'll be buying something for the wifey, who gives very vague instructions (I need some ham if you're passing by the store).
Now, I don't know about you, but when I'm confronted with 50 varieties of ham, my first reaction is to ask a woman (usually my wife) what the hell kind of ham I should buy.

^ And I do that (call my husband) when he says to buy steak. I go to Costco and look at the New York, Filet Mignon, Tri Tip, T-bone and then ask, "Which one?" I'm not a steak eater so I go by look.

Comes in handy when coming back from the grocery store to call out the troops out to help carry the bags in.
Funny how no one seems to be home about that time LOL.

You do much better than me. Two types of ham cause me all sorts of confusion and indecision. However, I find solace in the fact that which ever one I pick it's going to be wrong.

On our Mexico cruise, my ship-to-shore bill was over $400 @ $8/min. Now that's pathetic.

I use my cell phone when Rick sends me to the hardware store. I never seem to have ALL the info I need for whatever he's asking me to buy.

I have to carry a company cell phone as condition of my employment. Fortunately, our batch processes are well written; it's more of a nuisance by its presence but very seldom rings. Of course, if that changes I'll be looking for another job...

I have a RAZR and use it all the time for SMS and email ... less often for voice. It's calendar, email, chat and SMS functions really negate the need for items like the Blackberry for me... and it's all in a far smaller package.

I can check my emails when I'm away from the office knowing I don't have to return unless there's something important waiting. I also have a remote desktop java app that allows me to use my network machines from my cell phone when neccessary.

So.. yeah... I like to stay pretty well connected.

Hmm.....have to check out my RAZR owners manual.....didn't know that it could do all that stuff. I do have remote access ability for my office computer, but have never needed to use it yet.

What's SMS anyhow?

Guess Jerry just has to get into USING more of the tech that he has....
