I'm suffering from 'Saturation' and have been for some time. Something new comes in, something old goes out.

I have an exceptionally good memory which I consider both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing that has served me well over the years in my business dealings that I can remember details, time frames and dates that other can not .

On the other hand, it is a curse as I can remember things that others (including my relatives) can not as far as dates or the way things happened. It sometimes leads to disputes. Even though, I remember the way that it really happened.

I'm good with numbers, but can't remember names to save my life. I also used to be very good with directors, actors, etc in movies, but am getting senioritis these days. I can see the face of the actor, but can't remember the name sometimes.

I remember old phone numbers, my first drivers license number, bank account numbers, my draft card number, airline frequent flyer numbers etc. But, the rule around the house is that if you want me to do something, write it down. If it's not written down and I forget, it's not my fault.

I remember tracks and their turns

Too often I remember dates that were important to me. Usually I wish I could forget them though.

For ex: Sept 23, 2007, was the day my old life ended. Or really it was June 29, 2006 when I drove my S home... and I just didn't know it then

I'm also pretty good with birthdays. I'm getting better at names and faces too... meeting so many new people thru the S has actually helped me in that area

I have a "cheat file" where I store usernames, real names, plus one names, bdays and car info. Sometimes I read thru it right before a meet I try to meet, talk with, and remember at least one new person or couple at every meet I goto.

I wonder what "what we remember" says about us?

I can remember the license plates of the first 3 cars I owned, but I can't remember either of my current ones.
