Wonder if they can rebuild the infrastructure (esp water and electricity), before next Spring's severe weather?

Sure if there is enough money flowing.

Very interesting interview with the former director of FEMA on CNN...discussing all the steps in the process of getting people off the island as well as getting help/supplies to those left there. It's complicated and requires a whole lot of coordination.

We all know what is going to happen. We've seen it all before. We'll see it again in ten years somewhere else.
And we'll send money, rebuild, etc and it'll happen all over again and we'll wonder what ever happened to all that the US gov't did.

I saw that, Deb. My heart bleeds for all those people.

Puerto Rico is an island. Unlike Houston or south Florida or New Orleans or here, getting basics like food and water to everyone is a huge logistical challenge. So many people have lost everything. I don't begrudge one dollar being spent to help those people out.

And re those millionaire NFL players, many are donating to the cause. But of course THAT won't make the news. I hope the billionaire owners are also stepping up.
