Default I don't understand?

I was surfing around Amazon tonight and found this as a deal of the day.

Amazon Amazon

I am curious as to any other S owners use these? As for me when I do brake work on my S or other cars I just use a wire coat hanger from the dry cleaner, take some diagonal cutters and cut the straight section out and then just bend it into that "J" shape and use it. I guess if one were a professional mechanic working on a variety of vehicles some of which may have heavy calipers it would make sense to buy these at $10.

But what do you think? Am I missing something?

Well, it was in the section promoting professional services. Maybe that's the audience they were after (and i used to do the same thing you do, wire coat-hangers seem to be getting rare though)

If you can't come up with a DIY way to hang the calipers you should not be doing your own brake work.

These look good to me, but I have to do brakes on family vehicles: a Jeep Wrangler, a Grand Cherokee, two Hondas, a BMW, and. Mercedes ML. Looks like the hangers might be worth a ten spot.

Do you think one size will fit all? Notice they don't even mention the length. I generally rest mine on something (bucket bottom, etc.) rather than hang them if there's room.

I just use the rubber bungee straps with the hooks to support the calipers. Cheap and available in various lengths depending on the need.

Damn calipers! We replaced, one on the S, then another, then the last two (just because of the first two seizing up) before we went on a road trip last fall. One of the two replaced last summer failed. Rick might be able to get a credit on the part, but most annoying we'll be dishing out a few $ for the labor, (employee discount anyway) . Not sure what the issue is here. He pays attention to things such as brakes and I know a few other folks have dealt with caliper issues too.

The S must now be worth more money...fresh caliper on front, new brake pads oh and a new rear view mirror as the other one broke off last week when I went to adjust it. I'm not sure that this vehicle doesn't belong in a junk yard with these major problems! .
