Sounds like you've already made up your mind, Rob.
Hey, you buy that, and I'll go hunt down an E-type or a Dino, and we'll have some true Vintage fun!

Well, you could always do what Keith did when your become an "empty nester". Sell the house and buy a Ferarri and move to a less expensive area.
Rob, there are definitely days when I wish I was a single guy again so I could spend money the way I want to.

If that's true, it's not something that would keep me from buying the car. I had the chance to buy an ice green example while I was in college. It was being sold by a bank (repo) for $13,500, which is the only reason why I could do it. I took a look, told my dad, and he agreed to help me. I got the cashier's check together and went back to the bank on the same day--SOLD!
Oooh, still makes me tear up thinking about it...
My older brother had a 1976 911 SuperCarrera (Euro model) that I took out one day. We spun it up to where I had it going about 120mph in a big sweeper. It was twitching and weaving around the lane until my brother told me to lock my elbows into my body--it calmed right down. That damn steering is so responsive that the car was answering my novice inputs. They are truly driver's cars.
Cordy Cord the 930 I'm interested in does have an aftermarket turbo and intercooler but the body and interior are 100% stock. A lot of 930's have had the turbo's upgraded as the originals had a substantial amount of lag. It also has the upgraded chain tensioners which are VERY important.

I was thinking of selling the kids and getting a jump on that, Matt.

As far as performance I drove it for part of the test drive and I had the salesman drive it for part of the ride as he had a lot of experience with these cars and I wanted to see what its full potential was. We were on a four lane divided highway and he accelerated and got us north of 80 m.p.h. and next thing I know we are coming up on a group of cars at a stoplight. I thought for a nanosecond how are we going to stop then as I was thinking this he hit the brakes and the car seemingly got sucked into the pavement and we stopped with plenty of room to spare. What in most cars would of been an "Oh crap" moment was nothing in this car. True performance.

If I'm not mistaken, the 930 is lighter than the S2000 too, right? I know that the new (awesome) twin turbos have gotten porky.
