That won't work for me. Martha controls all the money, budget, etc.. Trust me, that's a good thing - I don't mix well with finances.

Very nice speakers - a pair of Magnepan 3.6 planar speakers.

After you get it, let us know how much you like them and what the difference is from speakers by Vienna Acoustics.

I've never heard Vienna Acoustics speakers. I currently have Magnepan 1.6s, CC3s, and MC1s in my home theater. I like them all, but I want to start getting into multi channel music along with HT. So, the 3.6s will be used as fronts and the 1.6s will get moved to the rear, and I'm working on having a custom amp made to drive them all. It all depends on what I can talk my accountant into - maybe I'll get her drunk first.

Planars.....Are you using these with a sub?
I am very partial to M&K these days.
Who is doing your amp design?

Yes, I am. I built an infinite baffle sub in my ceiling using four 18" subwoofers from Ascendant Audio and a Crown K2 to drive them (2,500 Watts @ 2 Ohms). When I play "Master and Commander" I can literally feel the air rushing by my head from the cannon fire.

I am planning on having an amp built, or building it myself, using the UcD400-AD (Class D - 400W/channel) modules designed by Bruno Putzeys. UcD modules
I've been listening to a bunch of the new Class D amps, and I've been very impressed with them.

^I forgot the other link. Check out custom amp. It's where I'll either buy the kit or a pre assembled unit.
