Paul, when you love hockey you learn to respect (or fear) the players that standout above the rest. Even the ones who enjoy licking and kissing the other team.
Sadly with Z gone it is the veterans on the Wings that are not putting in the effort; playing like it is a country club team where they show up and get a check. As you saw in our game the veteran wingers never played hard in the O zone. Too much money with too long contracts are holding back a full rebuild effort; clearly we are not playing as a team and could use a super star and better coaching. The town is praying Yzerman will come back next year as GM and turn things around. Next year Larkin will be named captain to replace Z.

This is the worst start in franchise history for the Red Wings. And now we are off to FL to get some more ass whopping.

Emil, we need him NOW. No surprise TB Lightening gave the Wings their 7th loss of the year. But the game had its moments. During one of the period breaks one of the Wings regular annouoncer's put up his predictions. He thinks the Caps are going to repeat with a Cup win this year . . . how about that Ms Perky!
