I'm fat: 2016

The biggest issue I have Bill is time.
I've never been a fan of working out before bed.
that leaves getting up at oh-dark-thirty and exercising.
Early morning meetings really make an impact on that.
Plus we went to 9 hour days. Sucks to get home at 7:30 at night if I work out in the morning.

I do prefer the morning work-out as well, but it isn't possible during the week. I try to be at work by 8:00 AM. I do get home relatively early so I can eat, exercise, and still take an hour or two of down-time before going to bed around 11:00PM. Working out after dinner stops me from late night snacking, which is my worst habit of all.

Worked out yesterday for the first time in 10 years. Took it easy. Tonight was pool league...hence all the late night posts...so next workout is tomorrow night.

Welcome Mike. what was your workout?
I'm down 7+ pounds. I've been bouncing around a 2 pound range the last three days so I'm at something of a plateau. I can't really attribute this to my diet as I have been very good in that regard. I think I'll see a drop tomorrow as tonight I do the treadmill and abs workout. I lose weight after the abs workout, but stay about the same after the resistance workout. The theory is that you retain water when you lift weights due to swelling of the muscle cells. But who knows?

Every 5 years or so I'll lose 6-8 pounds. Given that I'm only 5' it takes a lot of doing to do that. Then those pounds creep up again I'm working on it now. I get plenty of exercise, we eat quite healthy. It's the snacking.

Finally lost another pound. Down 7 since the start of the month. I'm not doing any real workout but have really cut back on the booze, which inturn means I have really cut back on the junk food that it always makes me want.

I'm still doing well on the intake, but I didn't have a good workout tonight. 30 minutes on the treadmill. I think I need to take a rest day.

Guys lose weight so easily.
There is a local Fitness Challenge going on. There is need to fight obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. For $5.00 folks get access for a month or so, to various classes at the Y and other local places, nutrition info available, etc. Last night at the Y, I saw lots of new faces in the "Cize" dance class. The Y offers a lot for those interested in a healthier lifestyle. I think all of us need to keep in mind in that perfect bodies are few and far between, but a healthier life style has it's rewards.
