Down one pound this morning.

I've used the treadmill and elliptical machine two days in a row.

I really need to do a transition from holiday pig-outs to real dieting so I'm trying to eat three basic meals a day without any between meal snacking.

Monday will be the start of my real diet.

Christmas weight almost gone. No evening snacking. Brush your teeth after dinner...it might discourage the snacking a bit.

Since I think fewer calories, fewer carbs, but not no carbs, my AM snack is often a serving of pretzels. Darn if I didn't forget it today. I had to troll the shop for some food and had about 100 calories of chocolate. Lunch was a not very hearty kale soup and a small roll, no butter. One of my classes tonight is being led by the guy I call "drill sergeant, Lu" I expect to be dragging..........maybe I'll burn more calories. Dinner is chicken and veggies tonight.

I will have to be careful tomorrow. I'm off from work due to impending storm...must be mindful of snacking/grazing....

I went to the GYM last night to get my body moving and I went to weight myself and I noticed that I did not gain weight during the holidays!! so Yey. My goal for this year though or even before the summer is to lose 15-25 pounds which I believe it totally doable.

Good for you! I'm eating salmon and veggies tonight for dinner. The +1 is in NJ, probably having some really yummy Italian food that Grandma will cook.

Maybe I should consider Jan 3 as the kick-off day, cause today was not it.

Low cal lunch and no/limited snacking may pay off. I'm under my pre-Christmas weight by about 1/2 pound. We'll see if I can keep this up. Drill Sergeant Lu, must have forgotten he was filling in at my class yesterday and we got stood up. I had done a 1/2 hour core class and was on my way out when I realized I could jump into the Zumba class that had just started. My cousin's wife instructs that class. So I went in and got another 45 minutes of exercise done. Her class is more "dancey" not as aerobic as some of the others, but it was enjoyable and better to keep moving.

The Y is closed today. I'm going to attempt a couple miles on the treadmill and hope I don't die of boredom.

^ Bummer...I made the mistake of snacking on Sheila G's Brownie Brittle at the hotel over New Year's. Don't ever, ever, ever buy those. They are incredibly addicting. Then I bought another bag to compound the badness. Not the way to start out the year.
