One of my pet peeves (I'm sure I can come up with many) are people who come in my neighborhood (to attend Little League games at park across from my house) and think it's OK to park just about on top of my driveway, because they are too lazy to walk from another spot down the street.

Oh, and then they think it's OK to litter while they are there. Why not? Why use the trash cans at the park anyway?

I'm sure these are the same folks that throw lottery "scratch tickets" out their window or leave them on the ground in the parking lot of the store they bought them at.

That is one of my all time favorite movies! And, I have to admit that I am "pissed at myself" for not confronting two females last weekend at my local Costco. I bit my tongue not once, but twice about saying something to them.

On my first pass, it was obvious that they were old aquaintences that had not seen each other in a while. They were both stopped with their carts in the middle of the aiolis taking up two or more of the lanes :-)

My son and I were in the grocery store yesterday and I was very angry when I saw the Hershey's brand candy bars for sale at the check out counter with all the words on the wrapper in Spanish .

This one happened to me twice in one commute. I am doing the speed limit in the right lane and overtake a slower car. I move into the left lane to pass and, upon drawing even with the other car, the driver increases speed to match mine. Now I'm stuck in the left lane. I speed up a few miles per hour and the other car is still matching my speed. I slow down a few miles per hour, and the formerly slower car does the same. Now I'm a rolling road block like the left-lane derelicts I truly hate. A drastic speed change is the only option now and, of course, there is even faster traffic approaching from behind. My real problem with this is that I really think that the formerly slower driver is totally oblivious that his/her speed is changing and that driver is just reacting to the relative motion of our vehicles.

^That happens to me and my husband a lot as well. I usually just gas it hard, get in front of them and when there's a big gap, pull back over. I think people do it subconsciously.

My last daily driver car had so many dings along its flanks from inconsiderate bastards that parked next to me who carelessly swung open their car doors, I committed when purchasing my current car new to park as far away from everyone else as possible all the time in order to avoid sustaining similar damage.

So when someone insists on parking next to me now, even though I am parked at the farthest end of lot, I have no qualms about walking around my car to inspect if for damage.

A few years ago when I saw that some idiot had parked behind mine, I inspected my car and noticed that my rear bumper had been scraped. I immediately called the local police on my cell phone and they arrived within minutes.

When the culprit returned to his car from shopping a few minutes after the police arrived, he was very apologetic as it was obvious his car had caused the damage. I am certain that had I not detected it on the spot, he would have never admitted it or notified me.

$525 later, my bumper was restored to good as new. I'm sure his insurance company was not pleased.

Calling a business anymore, only to be guided through 9 layers of "push this" "push that" menus. Being told to refer to their website for help when MOST people don't have 24/7 access to the internet.

Not being able to contact someone who has a cell phone, email, fax number, home phone... I get voice mail.

REALLY BAD customer service wherever I go anymore. People have that "If you don't like how you were treated, don't come back " attitude. The customer is never right anymore... And further more, we don't really care.

And, if you are lucky enough to get a customer service rep, by that time you are pretty aggravated. They can never solve your problem, you ask for a supervisor, get put on hold, the next thing you know you're back to the original greeting.

Or even worse is when you follow the phone menu through the nine layers only to come to a dead end and have to disconnect and start all over again.
